We’ve all heard the old saying, “April showers bring May flowers”, and it is so true. In the month of April, we experienced a lot of rainy, stormy days, but without those storms, we wouldn’t enjoy the beautiful flowers that are blooming all around us now that May has arrived. It’s the same way in life. Unexpected storms seem to come into our lives, with no notice. We lose a loved one, have car trouble that causes us to spend our savings, a child gets sick and we lose hours at the job that we can’t afford to sacrifice, and the list goes on. But if weren’t for those storms, we would never realize how much God provides, strengthens, and sends others to encourage us just when we need it the most.

When he wrote the old song, “Through it all”, Andre’ Crouch put it like this: “If I never had a problem, I’d never know that God could solve them; I’d never know what faith in my God can do.” So whether you’re experiencing the April showers or the May flowers in this point of your life, just know that whatever we face, God is in control. The storms only make the bright days even brighter. The SON will shine in your life again, and God’s blessings will REIGN on you even in the midst of the storms that may blow!

With my love and gratitude always;
